Actually the series translated back is more "The Swarm Wars".
"Kriege" is plural of war - not of warrior.

And I am a tad pissed that Heyne actually labelled them "first" and "second" NOVEL (Erster Roman / Zweiter Roman), while they are clearly not the first and second NOVEL.

I know, you are only the author, and I will send Heyne an email about this.
But since you mentioned the translation here, I thought you'd might like to know.

I'm from Germany. But to be honest I prefer to read your books and also books from other authors in English. That's because of several reasons:
-UK and US paperbacks are a lot cheaper than German books
-Not every book is translated to German
-In lot of cases you have to wait mininum one year for translation
-Sometimes translations are not that good
-German publishers tend to split books, which means you have to buy two or three books instead of one.
- Titles of books and name of series get a completelyother meaning by translation

Just for your in formation:
- A text translated from English to German is a third longer.
- Invasion des Feuers will be released in January 2010
- Der gepanzerte Spion will be released in March 2010

I also know that there are still many people who want to read books in their mother language. And therefore I think it needs to be done.

But my wife and I are really happy that we can read in English.

So far I have read Empire in Black and Gold and I really enjoyed it.
Dragonfly Falling is on my shelf and of course I sent a pre-order for Blood of the Mantis

Congratulations! Those covers look great. BTW it's "The Swarm Wars", not warriors.

I was wondering about the individual titles. Maybe they wanted to avoid the black/gold thing because those are two of the colours on the German flag, and the Wasp Empire is something Germans probably don't want associated with their flag, even so long after the Unfortunate Incident.

Not sure what's wrong with Dragonfly Falling, though. I think it would come out as something like "Die fallende Libelle". Maybe that doesn't sound right in German; you'd have to ask a native speaker.

I look to finding out what they do in the other translations.
