Interesting thoughts. I have been encouraged to start up some manner of forum - would this fit the bill?

A quick note: I am an American reviewer, who was impressed when I received the first Shadows of the Apt, and my editor has decided to review the entire series as they are released stateside. I do know that the American reader likes to be able to find their authors. Facebook fan page? More accessible blog?

Good luck to you in the states. I hope our readers at least get turned on to the series.

Extremely enthused to be seeing your books stateside, and glad to see the third book is being released soon. Can we expect any appearances by your person in promoting the books?

Just a minor note but a huge thank you for the Shadows of the Apt series. So infrequently do the words on the page vanish into such a cinematic delight as with these beautiful books.

A non-notable author? How do they figure that? Arseholes. Non-American, is what they probably mean.

Although as Wikipedia articles go, it's pretty rubbish. And how come the likes of Lawrence Miles (Almost invisible writer of a few Doctor Who spin-offs in the 90's)gets a lengthy Wikipedia article and you don't?

No, I don't get this at all.

Ah, thanks for that, Claus. I shall look into that straight away. I have not the first idea how Wikipedia works, in that light, but I surely must know someone who does.

A forum is an interesting idea. I shall pursue it.

Once again, thanks for the assistance.

Dear Mr. Adrian Tchaikovsky.

This is not the right place for me to post this comment, but I cannot find a better place (you have no forum or email address that I could find), so it will have to go here:

There is a Wikipedia article about "Empire in Black and Gold" here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire_in_black_and_gold

This article has recently been nominated for deletion due to non-notability.

I have not read the books myself yet (though I intend to), so I am not capable of rescuing the article. Per the Wikipedia rules you (Mr. Tchaikovsky) are not allowed to edit it either. But an article on Wikipedia is obviously useful for you as a means of spreading the word about your books. So you might want to make an effort to recruit some fans to rescue and improve the article.

Best wishes,
Spectrum (Claus Appel)

PS: I urge you to set up some kind of forum for fans of your books. This blog is nice, but probably insufficient.

Interesting. Which makes me wonder if my copies of EIBAG and DF are British or Canadian? I'd have sworn they were for the American market.
