Spiders do wear armour - generally light stuff, chitin and leather and silk, which they have in sufficient quantities that even their rank and file generally wears it (silk, as you probably know, is extremely good for stopping or slowing arrows, as the missiles spin in flight and so get tangled in the weave. Silk has even been found to protect from snapbow bolts to a small degree. Against a Wasp sting, however, it fries almost instantly.) Spider armies are anything but uniform, however, so heavier or stranger armour is known.</description>
