Got myself a ticket for Friday — think I'll definitely have to attend your panel on "Speculative biology" after the "Children of…" series. Just please work in some spiders..
Can't make it for a book signing on Saturday although you'd have had to end up carving into my Kindle as you're the first author whose books I've only had on e‑book (since 2011).

Dear Adrian
I feel rather foolish since this is the first time I've written to author to thank them for producing such wonderful work. What has prompted me to do so is no doubt that fact that you worked for so long in Park Square, Leeds. I am from Leeds originally and my twin brother worked for Sugaré's and then until recently O'Garra's solicitors in your neck of the woods. Perhaps you know him- Charles Watson? No? Well, never mind. I have just finished 'Children of Time' and it was absolutely wonderful. The book is the coalescence and distillation of many half-formed ideas I'd had about the universe and the place of humans in it, all pushed along with a dynamic and enthralling narratve drive that kept me breathless for more from start to finsih.
****Spoiler****
The ending was sublime — unexpected but optimistic; salvation coming the repugnant, humanity's redemption coming from acceptance. You had such admirable forethought sparing us from some gory intergalactic bloodbath/genocide!!
I am very much looking forward to reading more of your work in the near future. Keep up the good work!
