Firstly, thank you to everyone who turned up to the signings at Reading and London.
Secondly, I have reached a point in book 9 where I am faced with a phenomenally complicated skirmish between about a dozen named and distinct characters, and below, as an insight into the writer's mind, is my visual aid to help me keep track of it all:

A mantis-kinden being eaten by a beetle-kinden?!? Surely, now I've seen everything.. 😉
Well this genuinely is a representation of a fight in book 9 — possibly there will be prizes for spotting where it came from, when that comes out (or maybe, as that'll be 2013, nobody will remember including me).
Ladybug Kinden? Did I miss something in the books or haven't they appeared just yet?
I'm trying to think of whether there's been any ladybird kinden yet. Must be unfortunate to be a male ladybird kinden. I wonder if they are the arch enemies of greenfly kinden?
Just a Beetle-kinden wearing far too much makeup…
Aaa! Unexpected cat attack on toy insects may just have changed the entire plot of book 9!
Hm, I wonder if you're representing Tynisa as a Mantis or a Spider. Food for thought!

Thanks for signing the book. I was trying to joke about the new-sized format but I may have come-off as one of the crazy anal people… (the rest of the series will just live on the big shelf is all)
Anyway it's nice to have a complete set of signed books with insect cartoons in them 🙂
