Gemmell Award 2012 Nominations

They're in! And both the Sea Watch and Heirs of the Blade are on the long list for the Legend Award (best book) (1).

These are the fantasy awards, after the David of the same name, voted for by you, the readers.

If anyone would like to support the home team (2), voting is accomplished here. Also up for grabs are the Morningstar Award for best newcomer and the Ravenheart award for best cover art. Go cast your stones (3)!

This makes me glad I have access to 2 pcs I couldn't choose between heirs and wise mans fear by pat rothfuss 2 really excellent books.

Congrats dear boy.I have to go with The Sea Watch.It is entirely unique in my experience and truly worthy of major awards.Also,I felt threatened by(Rosander) the cover.That's a good thing.Good Luck!

Hello Adrian.That's a long list and though I've only read eleven of those listed I would have to say that the only book standing between The Sea Watch and the prize is The Wise Mans Fear.Fingers crossed!

Heh, that's two for Rothfuss so far. I have to say, I do love his writing. Of all the names there he's one of the ones I'd be happiest to lose to, if that makes sense.
