The last map is fantastic, the way you put Dorax, Szar and Lake Limnia really helps to figure out the scale of distance and the overall locations of each place. The Commonweal is so huge love it. Can't wait for Heirs of the Blade.

Thanks for the map this is great i have recently finished the air wa and am loving the series however in regards to the maps will we get to see a wider area of the northern empire where the woodlouse kinden live or perhaps a short story involving the various northern kinden we havnt seen much of?
That would be a good subject for a short — there's a lot of crazy Woodlouse-kinden stuff that never makes it into the books.
I am very interested in making my own maps of fantasy worlds. The maps created for your books are some of the best I've ever seen. I love the detail of the maps, but I wasn't able to see the complete map of the onset kinden. Does it still exist? I remember reading your first books, long before published them, on a friend's recommendation while studying for my doctoral comps. What a wonderful diversion. I need to get caught up because life pulled me out of the Shadows for too long. I'm excited to be back!
I'm not sure why the complete kinden map isn't visible to some. I should go back and repost that some time soon.

Today I started reading Empire in Black and Gold (100 pages in), and oh boy I'm glad I bought the whole series a couple years back (except I still lack Blood of the Mantis).
Now, after only 100 pages, your created world has gripped me with so much fascination, that I'll try and make a roleplaying campaign in your insect-kinden universe instead of the Tolkien (5. age), that I have been working on for a few weeks. There's so much potential in this universe of yours!
I hope you'll continue your great writing that brings to life, what many of us can only imagine or dream for ourselves and never get to share with our fellow humans.
